Thriving Partners
Supporting accompanying partners & spouses abroad
The Thriving Partners Programme helps accompanying partners rebuild their career, identity and sense of belonging after a relocation — and helps the organisations who brought them there hold on to the talent they worked hard to attract.
Looking for team or leadership training for your organisation? Visit For Organisations instead.
This isn't relocation logistics — housing, visas, schools. Those are usually already covered by someone else.
This is what comes after the boxes are unpacked: figuring out who you are professionally in a country where your CV, your network and sometimes your work permit no longer apply the way they did at home, and rebuilding the confidence to start again.
Career Practical support to understand your options, translate your experience into a new market, and move forward — even when the path isn't obvious yet.
Cultural integration Making sense of a new professional and social context, so you're not guessing at unwritten rules while also trying to rebuild a career.
Mindset & resilience Support for the identity shift that comes with starting over professionally — rebuilding confidence and a sense of direction, not just a CV.
Community Connection with others going through the same transition. Relocation can be isolating in ways that are hard to explain to people who haven't lived it (and even when you're already an expert at it) — you don't have to navigate it alone.

If you've relocated for a partner's job, posting or assignment, you know the version of the story that doesn't get told at the leaving party: the career you built, put on pause; the professional identity you're not quite sure how to reintroduce yourself with; the slow work of finding your footing again, on top of everything else a move asks of you.
This programme exists for that part of the story.
We start with a Discovery Call — a conversation about where you are and what you need, not a sales pitch.
What we work on from there depends entirely on what comes up in that conversation: it might be career direction, it might be rebuilding confidence, it might be something else you haven't quite named yet.
If your organisation doesn't offer this kind of support yet, feel free to forward this page to your HR, welfare or community liaison contact — this programme is built for them too.
Embassies, universities and companies increasingly recognise the same pattern: a partner's unsupported life and career transition is one of the most common reasons a posting is curtailed, an offer is declined, or a family leaves earlier than planned. Supporting the partner isn't a side benefit — it's part of how you retain the person you actually recruited.
The Thriving Partners Programme is designed to fit around your cycle, whether that's an academic year, a posting rotation, or an onboarding calendar:

A short needs-assessment conversation, so what we design actually matches your incoming partners, not a generic package.
A free introductory workshop, timed to your next arrival cohort — a low-risk way to see the approach in practice.
Paid follow-on support, structured to fit how your organisation works — whether that's an institutional package or support that individual partners arrange directly.
A standing offer for arrivals outside your main cycle, so partners who arrive off-schedule aren't left without an option.
This programme is open to embassies and diplomatic missions, universities, and companies supporting relocating employees' partners.
