I am passionate about helping others gain control over their life. And I am continuously searching for personal growth and ways of supporting others in making conscious decisions and effective plans towards a happy life.

I have dedicated my career to helping others and finding the best ways to improve the world. I know that even apparently small changes can have a profound impact! Today, my mission is to inspire and empower others to achieve their full potential, clarify their goals, overcome their fears, or simply learn a new soft skill. This applies to individuals as well as to organisations; after all, it's the human factor that drives both! For me, the reward of a job well done is to see my clients learn and grow by themselves.

I have 25+ years of work experience across different sectors, ranging from lecturing, training, researching, policy-making, and executive management in the not-for-profit sector. My career as a consultant and coach began in 2018, after I decided to leave my post as Chief Executive of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) and started a new journey to achieve a greater sense of balance and well-being in my own life.

I was born in Portugal, but I currently live in the Netherlands, after several years living in the UK and Belgium. I hold a Master's in Sociology, a PhD in International Relations. In addition to a specialization in Positive Psychology, I have a diploma in Behavioural Coaching and a Life Coaching certification. I am generally interested in leadership, sustainability, ethics, personal and career development, emotional intelligence, positive psychology, neurosciences, and others. I have been lucky to have travelled to many countries around the world, and I can speak English, Portuguese, French, some Spanish, and a little Dutch and Italian.
